Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence in space travel. Kristin has a background in the field of space as the grandchild and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she's been covering space policy under the Trump and Biden Administrations for FOX News. In that period, Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president, the 2020 Presidential campaign and the efforts of two administrations to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. The reporter even took an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the CBS network. She won the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Utilizing her expertise in front of the camera Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors in Science in journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and her three-year-old in Washington, D.C.
